That’s right folks, event season is upon us, and we’re giving you the lowdown so you can keep your finger on the pulse of the Airwallex diary. If you’re looking to attend some of this winter’s best fintech events, this list might be a good place to start. Catch us if you can.

Shenzhen Techcrunch

June 17-20 - Shenzhen, China

TechCrunch China will be hosting their bi-annual event for the first time in the city of Shenzhen, also known as ‘The Silicon Valley For Hardware’. The affair aims to demonstrate China as not only an imitator but an innovator in technology, through showcasing their local technology community and enhancing their communication with tech founders throughout the world. Our founder, Jack Zhang will be speaking at the event, so this is one not to miss if you are involved in China’s technology scene.

Access China Summit

June 21 - Sydney, Australia

Most businesses will be aware of the opportunities that China, with its enormous e-commerce market, can bring; they will also be aware of the hurdles that come along with it. The 2017 Access China Summit seeks to help open up the Chinese market for Australian businesses through sharing advice from the experts who have had success there.

You can catch Airwallex co-founder Lucy Liu in the panel discussion ‘Promoting your brand to a Chinese speaking audience in China and Australia’. Along with Lisa Ronson from Tourism Australia, Robert Ravens from Bridestowe Lavender Estate, and Libby Hodgson Taronga Conservation Society Australia, Lucy will be exploring the buyer journey of Chinese digital consumers, the role of the daigous and how to streamline conversion paths.

Start Path London

21-22 June - London, UK

Mastercard’s groundbreaking Start Path program, which helps the world’s most innovative tech companies get their feet off the ground, has onboarded Airwallex as their first Australian member. They hold two events a year, one in Asia and one in Europe, and this June you will find them making waves in London. Our Global Head of Sales, Joe McGuire and our VP - Europe Expansion, Michael Stachowiak, will both be attending, and making the most of this great opportunity to meet the Mastercard team and partners.

Girledworld Summit of Big Ideas

24-25 June 2017 - Melbourne, Australia

This event is exactly what it says on the tin. Created for girls in Australian secondary schools aged 13-18, Girledworld is looking to inspire young women through showcasing female talent and success stories in business. Airwallex co-founder Lucy Liu will be speaking about her experiences and sharing her big ideas to an audience of young women. Girl power.

Money20/20 Europe

26-28 June - Copenhagen, Denmark

Money20/20 is one of, if not the largest conference in the financial services space and there is no place better to find the biggest innovators in payments from across the globe. Our CEO, Global Head of Sales and Partnerships, and of course our VP - Europe Expansion will all be in attendance for this monumental event, where they will have the chance to network with over 3,000 attendees from 70 countries. Our CEO, Jack Zhang, will be speaking about fintech in China at the event, one not to miss.

London Fintech Week

17-14 July 2017 - London, UK

London’s hottest Fintech event is set to be more than your average expo: expect workshops, hackathons, meetups and parties as part of the hundreds of talks and networking. Michael and Joe will be participating so keep your eyes peeled for more Airwallex entertainment.
